There is no doubt everyone loves playing with Lego. Known all over the world, loved and played by millions.  Lego was a great invention. Since its foundation in 1932, the Billund, Denmark-based toy company has received numerous awards and touted as the ‘best toy’ ever made.

We all loved playing with these little plastic bricks since we were a child. Even adults love playing with them, and it’s hard to see that people have a hard time outgrowing their fondness for Lego. Things have changed a lot for Lego, and what is intriguing is that nowadays, Lego has become a collectible. To remain relevant in the age of social media and video games, the company also makes a lot of different sets.  Some themes include Batman, Star Wars, Robots, Harry Potter, etc. And of course, Lego also comes with different colors such as yellow, red, white, and blue.

The point is most folks still have a soft spot for Lego, including parents, and these are some good reasons for it. Let’s go:

4 Reasons Why Parents and Children Love Learning with Lego

Fun For Everyone

Lego is a universal toy for all ages. From Duplo to Lego Architecture it has something for every child no matter the age. Most Lego is sold in packs or is theme-based, but there are few open-ended packs.  Children can use their creativity and imagination to build anything they want with Lego.

Aesthetics

Lego is made of plastic and looks visually appealing thanks to those brightly colored blocks. Whether you’re an adult or a kid, you cannot deny that Lego on a table or Duplo in a bucket looks fantastic, and I can tell you can’t help but play with them. Yes, it’s a little retro, but it’s worth it.

It Gives You A Sense Of Freedom

When kids play with Lego or Duplo, they use their creativity and imagination to design and build their own houses, towers, bridges, etc. Lego gives them the right to do anything with it. They make things in any way they want and are free to do everything they want.

Lego Makes A Great Gifts

Unlike some other toys, Lego is affordable and accessible. Lego is by far one of the best gifts parents can buy for their children.  Lego comes with proper age guidelines. This way, you don’t have to fret over any health hazards.

3 Things I Don’t Like About Lego

Despite being great toys and presents for children, and adored by the young and old, there are a few things I dislike about these cute, colored bricks.

Lego Can Hurt

Lego is plastic and well-made. If you step on them, or somebody throws a few at you, it hurts.  Therefore, adult supervision is advised when children are playing with them.

Storage

Children have been playing with Lego for a long time, yet most still haven’t figured out the best way to store them. Most simply use a swoop bag and stuff everything in it. Alternatively, there are some cool Lego Tables that you can store the pieces in.

Easy To Lose

As Lego is small, it’s very easy to lose them. If you find some pieces missing, check between cushions and under your couches.
